I work with ladies who might have tried general counselling and psychotherapy but specifically wanted to be supported by someone who understands their faith and cultural context.

It can be overwhelming to figure out what you need, and where to start. Emotional & Spiritual wellness mentoring is about meeting you where you are at, and co-creating a safe space to discover where you want to go, and how to get you there.
My style is warm, direct, and collaborative. I recognize the importance of both compassionate understanding and the practical tools and strategies to help you move closer to the type of life you want for yourself.
Many people wonder what it might be like to come to a mentoring session. I view our first session as an introduction—a time for me to get to know you, and for you to experience what it’s like working with me. One of the critical factors in determining whether clients find the healing process successful is if they feel connected to their mentor or therapist. Feeling understood and seen is vital to building trust.
Clients that have previously been to general counselling, psychotherapy and other support services have said that one of the things they appreciate the most about working with a faith-based mentor is that they’re talking to someone who understands their values, the context of their decision making and the nuances of their lifestyle as Muslims in a western context.
Sessions can be short-term, longer-term, or ongoing, and can be helpful for working on a specific problem or for creating a concrete plan to move forward on a more complex issue.
I specifically work with ladies who are ready to make new choices for themselves, listen to their intuition and move beyond just survival. These ladies are prepared to do the work to rebuild their lives, reclaim their power and rewrite their stories. They’re done with being stuck in self-doubt, sick and tired of feeling powerless in the face of heartache; and this is the time to do something about it.
Spiritual & Emotional Wellness mentoring is not for those in search of life, business or productivity coaching. It’s not for those looking for clinical support for mental illness, or for people seeking mediation or couples therapy.
This work is all about supporting individuals on the path to growth and healing It’s centered on guiding you through discovering your own answers in the light of faith. I’m here to provide a safe environment for you to explore the meanings you’ve attached to your experience and importance of relational intelligence and emotional health in your own life.
You will fill out a booking application form so that I can get a better idea of what you’re going through and looking to heal or improve. The aim is to ensure that I have a basic understanding of your specific situation and needs so that I am prepared for your session and you can make the most of it insha’Allah.
Make sure to join the call with your mentor promptly at the designated session time. If you are late for your appointment, your session will still conclude at the original session completion time and will count as a completed session from your package.
When joining your mentoring call, ensure you are doing it from an environment in which you will be able to totally concentrate and focus (free from interruptions).
It is also important that you will have privacy (so you don’t have to worry about anyone overhearing your conversation).
I work with clients on an as-needed basis, the frequency of sessions in a package, and the duration of mentoring are determined on a case-by-case basis and with mutual agreement based on need and urgency.
I generally have an open-door policy, where existing clients may choose to take a break from mentoring (usually, after completing sessions in their mentoring package) and return at a later time for follow-up sessions (availability and scheduling permitting)
I respect your time and my own. When a session is booked it sets that time aside for you and takes the opportunity away from helping other clients.
I understand that there are circumstances where things are tight and we need the help but the money isn’t there. So I’ve opened up a limited number of discounted sessions for ladies facing financial hardship.
Low-cost sessions are available on a first come first serve basis and the spaces can be booked up to one month in advance. You can book a low-cost session here.
If you need to reschedule, you must do so at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. If you do not reschedule 24 hours in advance and can no longer make your appointment time, you will forfeit your session and will not be provided a refund.
I have a strict no cancellation policy and no refunds will be provided. Jazakum Allah khair for understanding.
